Pct. 4 says 15-year-old was arrested after woman was shot in Atascocita overnight

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office says a 15-year-old is in custody after a woman was shot in the Atascocita area overnight.

Deputies arrived at the 3700 block of Liles Lane after there were reports of several gunshots in the area.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting, but deputies said at one point three people had been detained after the 49-year-old victim was found injured.

She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK, officials said.

It is unclear if the woman and the teenager were familiar with each other.

The investigation remains ongoing.
